Privacy Notice
This notice explains how we collect and use personal data through srg-strategy.com, and your rights under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR.
Who we are
The controller of your personal data is SRG Strategy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15289658, registered office 2 Orchard Place, Nottingham Business Park, Nottingham, NG8 6PX. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@srg-strategy.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us through our application form:
- your name, company, role, email address and phone number
- your company's approximate annual revenue
- what you want to do next, your timing, how you heard about us, and anything else you tell us
When you visit the site, our hosting provider also processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which is needed to deliver the site securely.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your application and decide whether we can help. This is to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and in our legitimate interests in answering enquiries about our business.
- To keep records if we go on to work together. This is to perform our contract with you or your company, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- To run and secure this website. This is in our legitimate interests in operating a working, secure website.
We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or share it for other organisations' marketing. You don't have to give us any information, but we can't respond to an application without your contact details.
Who we share it with
Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract:
- Formspree, which receives form submissions and forwards them to us
- Google Workspace, our email provider
- Vercel, which hosts this website
- Google Fonts, which serves the site's typefaces and receives your IP address to do so
We may also share data where the law requires it, and within our group of companies, including our US affiliate, where it is needed to deal with your enquiry.
International transfers
Some of these providers, and our US affiliate, are based in or store data in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to put appropriate safeguards in place.
How long we keep it
If we don't go on to work together, we delete your application within two years. If we do, we keep client records for six years after our engagement ends, in line with UK legal and accounting requirements.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers, so there is nothing to consent to.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email hello@srg-strategy.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
